Across the Ocean: A Chicago Evening with the Ukraine Defenders Leadership Center

A combat medic survived 15 hours of evacuation near Avdiivka. Now he's training to lead Ukraine's future — and this May, he's coming to Chicago. On May 2, join the Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation of America for an evening with Yana Chapailo, director of the Ukrainian Defenders Leadership Center at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy; Dmytro Ternovyi — veteran, former Hospitallers combat medic, NaUKMA student training to lead Ukraine's future; and Mariia Savrun — Partnerships and Development Director, who bridges Ukraine's business community and veteran reintegration, building the networks and employer partnerships that make the Center's work sustainable at scale. Together they'll share what it looks like to re-educate veterans, build community around them, and prepare them for leadership in a country still at war. This is a fundraising event open to everyone — NaUKMA community, Ukrainian diaspora, and all who care about Ukraine's future.
